It runs silent and secure and it provides decent performance under muddy conditions, as the X-SYNC™ chain rings have been designed with mud-clearing recesses for the inner chain links and rollers.

The Apex 1 crankset completes the Apex 1 group, which is SRAM’s most affordable road 1x™ drivetrain yet. By using the patented X-Sync™ technology, the Apex 1 crankset runs silent and secure. The crankset offers a wide gear range and shifting simplicity at a great and durable value. The Integrated 4-arm, asymmetric spider maximizes stiffness to weight. It offers a greater frame and tire clearance than other road cranks, 2mm per side.
